The Managing Director of the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) Dr. Muhammad S. Khalil paid a familiarization visit to the Association of Construction Industries Workers, Kano State, as part of the Board’s ongoing stakeholder engagement efforts to strengthen collaboration with key partners in environmental management and sustainable urban development.

The engagement provided a platform for constructive discussions on issues of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on sustainable waste management practices, proper handling and disposal of construction and demolition waste, as well as the privatization and effective maintenance of government-reserved areas. Both parties reaffirmed the importance of collective action in promoting environmental sanitation and preserving public spaces across Kano State.

The visit further strengthened the relationship between REMASAB and stakeholders within the construction industry, enhanced awareness of responsible construction waste management practices, and identified strategic opportunities for partnership in environmental sanitation initiatives. It also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration aimed at improving environmental sustainability, protecting public infrastructure, and maintaining cleaner, safer, and more resilient communities throughout Kano State.
