On 30th July 2025, the Managing Director of the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) Dr. MUHAMMAD S. KHALIL paid a working visit to the Kano Zoological Garden as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration in the areas of environmental sanitation, waste management, and environmental sustainability.
The visit provided an opportunity for constructive discussions on strategies to enhance waste management practices, maintain a cleaner and healthier environment within the zoological garden and its surrounding areas, and explore practical measures for improving environmental hygiene across the facility.
The engagement further strengthened the working relationship between REMASAB and the Kano Zoological Garden while identifying key areas for future collaboration in sanitation service delivery, waste management, and environmental conservation. It also laid the foundation for joint initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable environmental practices and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and public health within one of Kano State’s major recreational and conservation facilities.
REMASAB remains committed to building strategic partnerships with public institutions to advance effective waste management, protect the environment, and create cleaner, healthier communities across Kano State.
