On 6th August 2025, the Managing Director of the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) conducted an inspection visit to the Maimalari Dumpsite to assess its operational condition, waste disposal activities, and overall environmental management practices.

The visit provided an opportunity for an on-site evaluation of the facility’s operations, enabling the Managing Director to obtain firsthand information on the current state of the dumpsite, review existing waste disposal processes, and identify operational challenges and priority areas requiring immediate and long-term intervention.

The inspection yielded valuable insights into the operational status of the facility and informed the development of strategies aimed at improving waste disposal efficiency and environmental management. It also reinforced REMASAB’s commitment to strengthening waste management infrastructure, promoting environmentally sound disposal practices, and implementing sustainable interventions that support a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient Kano State.
