On 8th August 2025, the Managing Director of the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) Dr. Muhammad S. Khalil paid a working visit to ARTV Kano, where he held productive discussions with the station’s management as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships in advancing environmental sanitation and public awareness across Kano State.

The engagement focused on identifying areas of mutual interest and exploring opportunities for collaboration in promoting environmental sanitation, sustainable waste management, and public enlightenment campaigns. During the visit, the Managing Director also participated in a live programme on ARTV Kano, where he highlighted REMASAB’s key initiatives, outlined the Board’s strategic priorities, and encouraged residents to embrace responsible waste management practices and support the government’s environmental sustainability agenda.

The visit further strengthened the relationship between REMASAB and ARTV Kano, establishing a framework for sustained media collaboration in environmental advocacy and public education. It also enhanced opportunities for the effective dissemination of sanitation-related information, increased public awareness and community participation in environmental sustainability initiatives, and reinforced the role of the media as a critical partner in promoting a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Kano State.

The Managing Director reaffirmed REMASAB’s commitment to leveraging strategic media partnerships to educate, inform, and mobilize the public in support of effective waste management and environmental sanitation across Kano State.
