THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF REMASAB PAYS COURTESY AND APPRECIATION VISIT TO PROFESSOR BASHIR ALIYU

On 26th August 2025, the Managing Director of the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) paid a courtesy and appreciation visit to Professor Bashir Aliyu of Al-Furqan Mosque in recognition of his invaluable support for environmental sanitation advocacy and public enlightenment on sustainable waste management practices.

The visit acknowledged Professor Bashir Aliyu’s consistent efforts in promoting environmental responsibility through Islamic teachings, sermons, and community engagement, which have contributed significantly to raising public awareness on proper waste management and environmental stewardship. The engagement also highlighted the vital role of religious leaders and faith-based institutions in influencing positive behavioural change and fostering collective responsibility towards maintaining a cleaner environment.

The visit further strengthened collaboration between REMASAB and the religious community, recognized the strategic importance of faith-based platforms in advancing environmental education, and encouraged the continued use of religious gatherings as avenues for promoting sanitation awareness and responsible waste disposal practices. It also reinforced REMASAB’s commitment to partnering with religious institutions and community leaders to drive behavioural change and support the Kano State Government’s vision of a cleaner, healthier, and more environmentally sustainable Kano State.

The Managing Director reaffirmed REMASAB’s resolve to deepen collaboration with faith-based organizations and other community stakeholders in promoting environmental consciousness and building a culture of sustainable sanitation across Kano State.
