On 17th September 2025, the Managing Director of the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) held a strategic meeting with representatives of the Nigerian Air Force to discuss the enhancement of environmental sanitation and waste management services within Air Force facilities in Kano State.
The meeting focused on key areas of collaboration, including routine waste evacuation services, the provision and effective management of waste disposal infrastructure such as Dino bins, and other sanitation-related interventions required to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy operational environment. During the engagement, the Air Force delegation also extended a formal invitation to the Managing Director to pay a working visit to the Air Force Command for further discussions with the Commandant on strengthening institutional collaboration and improving service delivery.
The engagement further strengthened the partnership between REMASAB and the Nigerian Air Force, identified priority sanitation and waste management needs within Air Force formations, and established a framework for enhanced cooperation in environmental sanitation services. It also laid the foundation for future high-level engagements aimed at improving waste management infrastructure, expanding sanitation support services, and promoting healthier and more sustainable environments within military facilities.
The Managing Director reaffirmed REMASAB’s commitment to partnering with security institutions and other strategic stakeholders to deliver efficient waste management services, strengthen environmental sanitation, and advance the Kano State Government’s vision of a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Kano State.
