MANAGING DIRECTOR OF REMASAB STRENGTHENS COLLABORATION WITH AIR FORCE BASE SERVICES GROUP

On 25th September 2025, the Managing Director of the Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) Dr. Muhammad S. Khalil paid a working visit to the Air Force Base Services Group, where he held a strategic meeting with the Commandant 455, Captain M. Sulaiman, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration on environmental sanitation and public health.

During the engagement, the Managing Director outlined the statutory mandate and core responsibilities of REMASAB in environmental sanitation, waste management, and public health protection across Kano State. Discussions centered on enhancing collaboration between the Board and the Air Force Base Services Group, the provision of routine waste management and fumigation services, and the adoption of effective sanitation measures to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment within the military facility.

The visit further strengthened the partnership between the Kano State Government and the Air Force Base Services Group, enhanced mutual understanding of environmental sanitation and public health priorities, and reaffirmed REMASAB’s commitment to delivering efficient waste management and fumigation services. The engagement also established a solid foundation for sustained cooperation in promoting environmental sustainability, improving sanitation infrastructure, and maintaining a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment within the Air Force facility.

The Managing Director reaffirmed the commitment of His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf to working closely with security institutions and other strategic stakeholders to advance environmental sanitation, protect public health, and support the Kano State Government’s vision of a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Kano State.
